My husband and I just bought our first home and wanted to get our basement done. We debated contracting it ourselves to save money, but got a few quotes to see. Our basement is about 600 square feet, and all of our quotes came in around $45,000!! We then met Bo who quoted us about $17,000 less. Having just put all of our money in to the house we didn’t want to spend a lot more but also didn’t want to compromise quality. We signed with Bo and we are SO happy we did! Their framer did an amazing job and set up a great structure, and they brought many new ideas to our attention to make the best use of the space for what we wanted. Things moved very quickly and the people were great to work with. Anytime we texted them they would respond and any concerns we had were addressed immediately. They even came back to clean our storage room even though they did not need to, just to make sure we were happy with the end result. Now that it is all completed, we are very happy we went with them and would highly recommend them for your basement.

They were also able to get us in their schedule to get the job done before Christmas. Bo was very helpful when designing the layout for the basement and had creative ideas to optimize the space.

I like on how Reimagine trust their Clients. They don’t require a deposit prior to starting the work and your first payment in only after the 1st inspection done by the City of Calgary. They are also attentive and responsive on any observations that you raise with them while the work is on-going. They also have 5 year warranty which I don’t expect to use as the quality of their Trades works appears great. Overall I believe Reimagine Builders is a professional, trusted and reliable basement developer so I recommend them.

We recently finished a basement and built a detached garage with ReImagine and they exceeded our expectations from quote to completion.
ReImagine provided the skilled workers for each stage of the projects. We’re very happy with the work that was done and the price was fair for the work completed. Their quote was not the highest nor was it the lowest, but we feel we got the best contractor. The quote was the final price—except when we asked for upgrades and to add or subtract work that wasn’t in the original contract. All quotes, invoicing and receipts were done electronically which made keeping track of our expenses and billing very easy.
The finishes in the basement are beautiful and we have had comments about how good the layout and flow is. The garage siding, soffits and downspouts match our 14 year old house exactly making it look like it’s always been there. We’ve had several neighbours remark about the quality of the work.
Peggy and Josh our two Project Managers were always available to answer any questions. All permits were looked after by ReImagine and inspections were booked with the city in a timely manner.
We recommend ReImagine without reservation and will use them again for future renovations.

Before moving all of our stuff into the basement to never see the concrete again, we decided to develop. We got a few quotes and in the end decided to go with Bo and the Reimagine team. The price quoted was very reasonable and covered all of our needs.
During the quote stage, Bo was very easy to get a hold of and had good input on some ideas to design our basement the way we wanted it. He also had great input on how to shave some cost off of the already reasonable estimate without sacrificing build quality. Picking out finishings and materials was easy and fun and all of the suppliers were very helpful.
When we were assigned a PM (Peggy), we were super happy from when we first met her to saying goodbye and having the basement completed. Peggy and Josh were awesome and really on the ball which helped ease our minds throughout the build process. The trade crews were talented and respectful and did not bother our day to day lives at all.
All in all, we are very happy with ReImagine and think the way they deal with you on a very personal level helps build trust and results. Thank you guys for a great project completed on time and on budget! Highly recommended!

When we were in the process of purchasing our home, we decided to go with the mortgage plus reno in order to finish the basement. This meant needing a quote to give the bank on short notice. I contacted many companies but either they took a very long time getting back to me, or their estimates were much higher than we were expecting to pay. When I contacted ReImagine, I received an immediate response, and Bo was able to come to the house and give us a quote very quickly. The price was less than other companies, and he even gave me a booking credit that was meant to be used earlier in the year. Peggy oversaw the project and was beyond amazing, always very quick to respond to any questions and made sure we always knew what was going on. She is a huge asset and I loved working with her. Bo and his team were not only the most cost-effective option, they also delivered exceptional quality and best-in-class service. Despite the project’s relatively modest size, not once did we feel as though were anything but Reimagine’s top priority. They were very amenable to changes in the initial design of the basement and were in constant contact with us throughout the course of the project to ensure we were satisfied with how things were proceeding. Importantly, they also worked with us to find ways to complete the project more efficiently and were very conscious of the disruption to our family on those rare occasions when their work bled into the evening or weekends. I have had my share of problems dealing with contractors in the past and have become very distrustful as a result. When my wife and I decided to develop our basement we spoke with 5-6 different contractors and I was very unimpressed with the prices and presentation.
One guy came in without a tape measure or anything, looked around for less than 2 minutes and told me it would be $50,000. No mention of what was included or anything. So when Bo came and spent close to two hours at our initial visit going through the various options and inclusions I knew that this was the company I wanted to work with…… and it didn’t hurt that their quote was for close to $10,000 less than most of the others. Now that it is complete I couldn’t be more happy with the space. I would highly recommend using ReImagine for your project!

After settling on a plan, more or less, last March we began our 600 sq.ft basement development project by consulting with several contractors and trades people. We started working with ReImagine in mid April, finalized and signed the contract early May. First inspections happened by May 20 and the project was complete by the end of August. We experienced some delays (~3 weeks) due to resolution of a pre-existing problem discovered by the building inspectors, repairing a plumbing issue, and waiting on a flooring material back-order.
Bo was very helpful in advising us on economically efficient alternatives; trades people were professional, timely and tidy; final clean-up was excellent; and the final cost was within our first estimate.
ReImagine was a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends/family for projects of this type.

ReImagine Builders developed my basement. The project took about 8-10 weeks to complete (not including Christmas holidays). The project began in December and finished mid-late February. It was very easy to get a hold of Bo (President) and Josh (Project Manager). They both came over to measure my basement, provided free drawings, consultation, and quote. Communication: 5/5, there was never a time I didn’t know what stage the project was at. Courtesy: 5/5, they knew we were having a baby in February and they finished our basement in time so they would not disrupt our new-born with construction noise. The trades removed their footwear when entering our home (before they laid down running mats). Professionalism 4.5/5, There were a few small pieces of broken drywall left on the side of my house which got cleaned up shortly after drywall installation was complete. Other than that, we didn’t experience any problems with the trades. Quality: 5/5, I’ve received many compliments about the quality of work done, and how they matched our basement colors to the rest of our home making it appear as if it was developed by the builder. Price: 5/5, The quote I was given was $8,000 less than other builders. I did not request any change orders or major upgrades mid-project so the price did not fluctuate. Overall: 5/5, I would highly recommend ReImagine Builders, and will be a repeat customer if I need to develop again in my future houses. They have exceeded my expectations
