The prices, estimates, and answers on the site — including anything from Basement Genius or the instant estimator — are guides to help you plan, not binding quotes. Your actual price, scope, and schedule are set only by a written agreement we both sign. Don't copy our content or misuse the tools, and remember that nothing here is professional advice.
These terms govern your use of reimaginebuilders.com and the tools on it (the "Site"), operated by ReImagine Builders("ReImagine," "we," "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of these terms.
We publish more pricing information than most builders because we think you deserve it. All of it — published ranges, cost breakdowns, case-study figures, cost-per-square-foot guides, financing illustrations, and any figure produced by the instant estimator or Basement Genius — is illustrative guide pricing only. It reflects typical recent projects, but every basement is different, and prices change with materials, labour, and scope.
No figure on this Site is an offer, quote, or commitment. Your actual price, scope of work, schedule, and guarantee terms are established exclusively by a written agreement signed by you and ReImagine. If anything on the Site conflicts with your signed agreement, the signed agreement governs.
Basement Genius is an AI assistant. It's built to be accurate and we review how it answers, but like any AI it can make mistakes, simplify, or go out of date. Its answers are general information to help you plan — they are not quotes, professional advice, or statements that bind ReImagine. Always confirm anything important with our team directly before relying on it.
Please use Genius and the estimator honestly and for their intended purpose: planning your own basement project. Don't use them to attempt to extract data, probe or overload our systems, generate harmful content, or build a competing dataset or service.
Content on this Site — including articles about permits, building code, secondary-suite requirements, financing, home value, and rental income — is general information for Calgary-area homeowners. It is not legal, financial, tax, lending, appraisal, or real-estate advice. Rules change and every property is different: confirm requirements with the City of Calgary and consult a qualified professional (lawyer, lender, Realtor, appraiser, or accountant) before making decisions.
The Site and everything on it — text, photography of our projects, renderings, designs, graphics, logos, and the Basement Genius name and character — belong to ReImagine or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view, share links to, and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or use our content commercially (including to train AI models) without our written permission.
When you send us project details, photos, documents, or messages through the Site, you confirm you have the right to share them, and you give us permission to use them to respond to you, prepare your quote, and carry out your project. How we handle personal information is covered in our Privacy Policy.
Don't misuse the Site. That includes interfering with its operation or security, submitting false or misleading information, impersonating someone else, introducing malware, or using automated tools to scrape or harvest content or data.
The Site links to third-party sites and services — for example the City of Calgary, financing through Financeit, review platforms, and our suppliers. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or terms. Financing is offered by the lender, not by ReImagine, and is subject to the lender's approval and terms.
The Site is provided "as is." While we work hard to keep it accurate and available, we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or always current. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReImagine is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content or tools. Nothing in these terms limits rights that can't be limited under applicable law, and nothing here limits the warranties and guarantee terms in a signed client agreement — those are governed by that agreement.
We may update the Site and these terms as our business and tools evolve. When we change these terms, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
